Water (H₂O) ice deposited at 135 K onto an UV-enhanced aluminum (Al) substrate, and held at 135 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 135 K, by ultraviolet-visible transmission spectroscopy from 40,000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The absolute error of the n index is estimated at less than 0.01. The error of the k index is estimated at 15%.
