Polycrystalline water (H₂O) ice condensed between two optical windows at 248.15 K (-25 °C), and held at 248.15 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The imaginary part (k) of the complex index of refraction was determined using optical measurements done a temperature 248.15 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 6920 to 4000 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 16 cm⁻¹.
