CH₃OH Ice at 75 K

Ice Datasets
Description
Sample Type Ice
Components CH₃OH
Ratio 1
Substrate CsI
Phase / State
Reference Temperature 75 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 500.08 - 3999.2
Wavelength (µm) 2.501 - 19.997

Methanol (CH₃OH) ice deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then warmed up to 75 K, and held at 75 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 75 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.

The transmission (T) spectrum is also provided in this dataset.
