CH₃OH Ice at 120 K

Ice Datasets
Description
Sample Type Ice
Components CH₃OH
Ratio 1
Substrate CsI (for the MIR region) and PE (for the FIR region)
Phase / State
Reference Temperature 120 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 50.153 - 3999.7
Wavelength (µm) 2.5 - 199.39

Methanol (CH₃OH) ice deposited at 10 K onto cesium iodide (CsI) and polyethylene (PE) substrates, then warmed up to 120 K, and held at 120 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 120 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 50 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.

The transmission (T) spectrum is also provided in this dataset.
