Carbon monoxide (CO) ice deposited at 11 K onto a high-resistivity float-zone silicon (HRFZ-Si) substrate, then warmed up to 28 K, and held at 28 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined from 25 to 1602 µm using optical measurements done at a temperature of 28 K, by THz time-domain spectroscopy with a resolution of ~0.03 THz and infrared transmission spectroscopy with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The opacity (𝜅) spectrum of a CO ice sample deposited for 3 minutes is provided in this dataset.
