CO₂ Ice at 50 K

Ice Datasets
Description
Sample Type Ice
Components CO₂

Substrate CsI
Phase / State
Reference Temperature 50 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 548.506 - 3993.12
Wavelength (µm) 2.504 - 18.231

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) ice deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then warmed up to 50 K, and held at 50 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 50 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3993 to 548 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
