Coronene (C₂₄H₁₂) ice deposited at 5.1 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 5.1 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 5.1 K, by normal-incidence infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 440 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.5 cm⁻¹.
