Water:formic acid (H₂O:HCOOH with a 1:1 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 15 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 15 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 15 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 600 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.
The absorption (A) spectrum is also provided in this dataset.
The H₂O:HCOOH ice mixture and its infrared spectra were produced and collected at Grand Accélérateur National d'Ions Lourds (GANIL), Caen, France and published in Bergantini et al. (2014), while the optical constants provided here were calculated with the NKABS ("N and K determination from ABSorbance data") code and published in Rocha et al. (2017).
