H₂O:NH₃ (4:1) Ice at 24 K

Ice Datasets
Description
Sample Type Ice
Components H₂O:NH₃
Ratio 4:1
Substrate KBr
Phase / State
Reference Temperature 24 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 650 - 4000
Wavelength (µm) 2.5 - 15.385

Water:ammonia (H₂O:NH₃ with a 4:1 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 24 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 24 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 24 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 650 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 3 cm⁻¹.
