H₂O Ice at 77 K

Ice Datasets
Description
Sample Type Ice
Components H₂O
Ratio 1
Substrate Si
Phase / State Amorphous
Reference Temperature 77 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 125 - 4000
Wavelength (µm) 2.5 - 80

Amorphous water (H₂O) ice deposited at 77 K onto a silicon (Si) substrate, and held at 77 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 77 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 125 cm⁻¹.
