Amorphous water (H₂O) ice deposited at 10 K onto a barium fluoride (BaF₂) substrate, and held at 10 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real part (n) of the complex index of refraction was determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 10 K and a pressure of 2.6E-6 mbar, by ultraviolet-visible transmission spectroscopy from 210 to 757 nm with a resolution of 0.56 nm.
