Amorphous ethylene (C₂H₄) ice deposited at 16 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, then cooled down to 12 K, and held at 12 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 12 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 700 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The transmission (T) spectrum of a 2.85-µm-thick sample is also provided in this dataset.
