Ammonium cyanide (NH₄CN) ices deposited at 125 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 125 K during spectroscopic measurements. NH₄CN ices grown to thicknesses of 0.11, 0.22, 0.43, 0.86 and 1.73 μm.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 125 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The absorption (A) spectrum provided in this dataset was measured on a 0.432-μm thick ice sample at a temperature of 125 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
