Mixture CO2:CH4 (20:1) Ice at 10 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components CO2:CH4
Ratio 20:1
Substrate CsI
Reference Temperature 10 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 500.08 - 3799.6
Wavelength (µm) 2.632 - 19.997

Carbon dioxide:methane (CO2:CH4 with a 20:1 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 10 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 10 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3800 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹ across the CH4 features and 2 cm⁻¹ across the rest of the spectrum.
