Pure HCN (1) Ice at 10 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components HCN
Ratio 1
Substrate CsI
Reference Temperature 10 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 600.004 - 5000.075
Wavelength (µm) 2 - 16.667

Amorphous hydrogen cyanide (HCN) ice deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 10 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 10 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 600 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
