Pure N2O (1) Ice at 70 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components N2O
Ratio 1
Substrate KBr or CsI
Reference Temperature 70 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 450.003 - 4000.007
Wavelength (µm) 2.5 - 22.222

Crystalline nitrous oxide (N2O) ice deposited at 70 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 70 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 70 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 450 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.

The absorption spectrum of a 0.24-µm-thick sample is provided in this dataset.
