Crystalline methanol (CH3OH) ice deposited at 120 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 120 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 120 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The absorption spectrum of a 0.47-µm-thick sample is provided in this dataset.
