Pure H2O (1) Ice at 190 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components H2O
Ratio 1
Substrate None
Reference Temperature 190 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 800.35 - 4000
Wavelength (µm) 2.5 - 12.495

Crystalline water (H2O) ice aerosols formed at 190 K by homogeneous nucleation of water vapor in a nitrogen buffer gas (1% water in nitrogen), and held at 190 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 190 K and a pressure of 100-300 Torr, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 800 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.
