Mixture N2:CO:H2O (2:1:1) Ice at 12 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components N2:CO:H2O
Ratio 2:1:1
Substrate CsI
Reference Temperature 12 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 2057.7 - 2236.1
Wavelength (µm) 4.472 - 4.86

Nitrogen:water:carbon monoxide (N2:H2O:CO with a 2:1:1 ratio) amorphous ice mixture deposited at 12 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 12 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 12 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 2236 to 2057 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.9 cm⁻¹.
