Components | H2O |
Ratio | 1 |
Substrate | CsI (for the 8000-200 cm⁻¹ region), LDPE (for the region below 343 cm⁻¹), and wedge-shaped LDPE (for the region below 85 cm⁻¹) |
Reference Temperature | 100 K |
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) | 30 - 8000 |
Wavelength (µm) | 1.25 - 333.333 |
Crystalline water (H2O) ice (hexagonal ice Ih) deposited at 173 K onto cesium iodide (CsI), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and wedge-shaped LDPE substrates, then cooled down to 100 K, and held at 100 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 100 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 8000 to 30 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1-3 cm⁻¹.
