Water:carbon monoxide (H2O:CO with a 20:1 ratio) amorphous ice mixture deposited at 12 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 12 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 12 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 2228 to 2065 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.9 cm⁻¹.
