Water:carbon dioxide (H2O:CO2 with a 100:14 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 10 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 10 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3943 to 449 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
