Carbon monoxide (CO) ice deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then warmed up to 30 K, and held at 30 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 30 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 2198 to 2002 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
