Crystalline water (H2O) ice (hexagonal ice Ih) slabs placed between two fused silica (SiO2) substrates held at 243 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 243 K, by Fourier transform of the measured time-resolved field variation of THz transmitted pulses from 0.25 to 1.0 THz.
The accuracy of the n indices is estimated at ± 0.002. The accuracy of the k indices is estimated at ± 0.0005.
