Crystalline methyl acetate (C3H6O2) ice deposited at 115 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 115 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts] of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 115 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 7800 to 550 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
