Pure H2O (1) Ice at 130 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components H2O
Ratio 1
Substrate KBr, ZnSe or CsI
Reference Temperature 130 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 666.536 - 8999.311
Wavelength (µm) 1.111 - 15.003

Metastable cubic crystalline water (H2O) ice (Ic ice) deposited at 150 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr), zinc selenide (ZnSe) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then cooled down to 130 K, and held at 130 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 130 K and a pressure of ~1E-8 mbar, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 1.1 to 22.1 µm.
