Pure H2O (1) Ice at 23 K
Sample Type | Ice |
---|---|
Components | H2O |
Ratio | 1 |
Substrate | KBr |
Reference Temperature | 23 K |
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) | 650 - 4000 |
Wavelength (µm) | 2.5 - 15.385 |
Amorphous water (H2O) ice deposited at 23 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 23 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 23 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 650 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 3 cm⁻¹.
The accuracy of the n and k indices is estimated at ± 5%.
