Pure C5H5N (1) Ice at 10 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components C5H5N
Ratio 1
Substrate KBr or CsI
Reference Temperature 10 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 550.04 - 3440.02
Wavelength (µm) 2.907 - 18.18

Amorphous pyridine (C5H5N) ice deposited at 10 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) or cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, and held at 10 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 10 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3440 to 550 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.5 cm⁻¹.
