Crystalline methylamine (CH3NH2) ice deposited at 110 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) or potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 110 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 110 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 7000 to 432 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
