Crystalline allene (C3H4) ice deposited at 80 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 80 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 80 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 700 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.5 cm⁻¹.
