Pure C3H6 (1) Ice at 80 K

Description
Sample Type Ice
Components C3H6
Ratio 1
Substrate CsI or KBr
Reference Temperature 80 K
Wavenumber (cm⁻¹) 500.024 - 4999.994
Wavelength (µm) 2 - 19.999

Stable crystalline propylene (C3H6) ice deposited at 80 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) or potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 80 K during spectroscopic measurements.

The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 80 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 5000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 0.5 cm⁻¹.
