Crystalline acetone (CH3COCH3) ice deposited at 125 K onto a potassium bromide (KBr) substrate, and held at 125 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 125 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3600 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 1 cm⁻¹.
The absorption spectrum of a 0.6-µm-thick sample is provided in this dataset.
