Nitrogen:carbonyl sulfide (N2:OCS with a 20:1 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then warmed up to 20 K, and held at 20 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 20 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 3000 to 700 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.
