Water:methanol:carbon monoxide:ammonia (H2O:CH3OH:CO:NH3 with a 100:50:1:1 ratio) ice mixture deposited at 10 K onto a cesium iodide (CsI) substrate, then warmed up to 80 K, and held at 80 K during spectroscopic measurements.
The real (n) and imaginary (k) parts of the complex index of refraction were determined using optical measurements done at a temperature of 80 K, by infrared transmission spectroscopy from 4000 to 500 cm⁻¹ with a resolution of 2 cm⁻¹.
